Works indoors in parking garages by falling back to the last-known anchor when GPS drops. No ad-supported “parking apps,” no dropped-pin gymnastics, no wandering row-to-row hitting the panic button on the fob. A wilderness backtracking mode built for hikes, hunts, and family adventures where cell service dies. Tap the 🥾 icon at trailhead → your phone drops high-frequency GPS breadcrumbs every ~20 ft into a local SQLite spool (no cloud round-trip needed). Follow the reverse-order dashed trail back to your car even after 8 hours off-grid. Live Share My Hike lets you opt-in per hike so family can watch your progress in real time from home. Distance covered, elevation gain, and pace all render on-device. Zero data plan required in the field.

Circular geofences with server-side 50% radius hysteresis. For a 100 m Home zone, you must cross 150 m outward before an EXIT fires, then 100 m inward before an ENTER fires — mathematically impossible to flap on GPS jitter. Smaller radii get a scaled dead-band. State machine lives in MongoDB per-zone / per-user.

Server-side hard-drop, not just UI hiding. When Ghost is on, the /api/location endpoint returns 204 without writing to the location collection — no lingering pin, no "last-known dot" leak, no client-side spoof needed. Family members see a purple "Sharing paused" pill. Advanced Ghost adds continuous Gaussian-noise drift on the wire.

Long-press hardware button opens the composer. Message + GPS fires a MAX-importance push through FCM on a dedicated channel with bypassDnd: true — reaches family phones in under 2 seconds even on silent. One tap dials 911 directly via the native dialer intent. No call-center middleman, no monitoring subscription.

Accelerometer-only heuristic — no gyroscope, saves battery. At 10 Hz sampling we look for a G-vector magnitude spike > 4G (adjustable 3–5G), followed by a 5-second post-impact stillness window under 0.6G swing. The stillness check plus a 21-second cancel countdown is what separates a real crash from a hard phone drop — high-sensitivity mode WILL trip on a 24″ wooden-floor test drop (3.1G), but the countdown gives you time to tap “I'm okay.” After that: GPS + red "needs help" banner flies to family. All on-device, zero cloud AI.

Invite-only 100-member circles via one-time codes. Members see honest presence (Live / Idle / App closed / Offline — never faked), battery context, in-app group chat, one-tap YouAt-Locate. The heart of the 2005 vision. Instead of a phone call, tap a family member and their device gets a targeted push — their app opens to a full-bleed "share your location now" card. One tap replies with a fresh fix. No arguing, no forced texting, no "why aren't you answering." The name honours the original three words: "You at?"

PRAGMA secure_delete = ON. Rolling history purges physically zero the flash blocks so nothing survives forensic recovery. Location cache, geofence state, and parking anchors all live on-device.expo-location with adaptive polling — Balanced accuracy when stationary, High when moving, 40 m distance-interval floor, 5-minute Android time-hint. Twenty years later, Jaye — now a 40-year CNC programmer residing in Bristol, Virginia, originally from North Carolina — finally sat down at an $80 HP laptop with his phone as a tester and built it right. That app is YouAt.
